Well, tomorrow we're going to pick up the recumbent exercise bike that I picked out, and we're going to go looking at couches and loveseats for the living room to replace what we've got.  After today, I learned my lesson, and my cane will be in the backseat while we are out in the heat of the day tomorrow.  While we were running errands today, hubby was so taken aback by my reaction to the heat, he forbade me from going to the parade to see our oldest in his high school marching band, which disappointed the oldest greatly.  Likely we won't go see the fireworks - too much walking from finding ANY parking space close to downtown, and trying to find a view that isn't obstructed by buildings, and the heat is another  matter.

Sunday, it's likely that we'll be visiting hubby's mom, who is on bedrest after having essentially reconstructive surgery on her foot (was a bunion removal, but because of how her foot bones were lined up from a previous injury, they had to basically re-align everything in the front half of her foot.  She's bored, so she wants to see the kids.  Of course, she still thinks the boys are like they were when they were young, and now that they are 16 and 14, no, they probably aren't going to want to sit and chit chat.  She thinks she can do it with them, but it never works.  We're also planning on hiding how many problems I'm having with this heat from her.  It distresses her to no end to hear that I'm ever having problems with my MS, and with her trapped in a bed for god only knows how long, there's no point in telling her.

Monday, my brother is having a party at his house for the holiday.  I forgot to ask what the (I assume) barbequed meat was going to be, but we're taking potato salad.  This recipe is the only type of potato salad I've ever liked.  Hubby is going to borrow a huge pot from his parents, and a huge tupperware container, because there are sure to be leftovers.  Brother is likely to have some fireworks there, it's going to be hot, but hopefully the house will be shut up with the a/c cranked.

What about you?Tina

I think to lay low, Sharon. Possibly see Woody 's new movie with my husband, and possibly my daughter, Lia. I suppose we'll still bask in the quiet around here that comes with having 3 kids away. Church tomorrow. Take the dogs for walks--either early in the morn, or in the evening, when it's cooler. We'll BBQ probably on the 4th. We're accustomed to being on my brother's boat on the 4th and going out into the Long Island Sound, and watching fireworks from many different towns, but with my dad's death and memorial, he hasn't had the time (nor probably energy as well) to get the boat fixed up for the water. :o(The fireworks for Ossining were last night; we didn't see them. It's mad hard to find a place to park, then to get out and hike to where you can view them.

It's crazy crowded. There will more than likely be fireworks on the 4th somewhere, so maybe we'll get out to see them. They are predicting 90 degree weather for Monday. What all are others' plans?love,KateTo: Group <mserslife >Sent: Fri, July 1, 2011 10:58:00 PMSubject: your plans for the weekend?

Trying to be as quiet as possible – the cable company threw me into a worse flare the 22nd when they tried to install the broadband – the second tech the next day didn’t help much – when ATT pulled the connection 25th – no emails out – Joe got me up this Thursday – the bad news is I am getting half on broadband – sorta and half on Outlook – Joe is coming on Tuesday to take everything – he has to download everything – on 3 drives to cd disk – clean 3 drives – reinstall the two fat drives – then be sure my broadband is working and everything kicks over to Outlook I will be in hock the rest of the year – he will write an itemized bill – I am going to raise hell with the cable company – they couldn’t even get my name or the address right – they are on the agenda for Tuesday – the first tech screwed up my mouse and deleted part of windows and something else – so I had to buy a new keyboard and mouse –that will be a point too The last time I was this upset was when the idjut of a so called doctor upset me in the clinic and I walked out in 2008 – I don’t know when I will get détente with my body From: MSersLife [mailto:MSersLife ] On Behalf Of Kate RothschildSent: Saturday, July 02, 2011 6:34 AMTo: MSersLife Subject: Re: your plans for the weekend? Oh, Anne! I am so sorry that you are going through so much. It's horrible when folks don't do what they're supposed to do--especially when they are getting PAID to assist, help or fix something. You'll be in hock because of computer stuff? That's awful.Sorry also that your body is bearing the brunt of all this stress.I've been so far fortunate that my dad's passing hasn't put me into a flarewith all the stress and depression.PLEASE rest, take care of yourself, share when you can. We do miss youwhen you're not on, but taking care of you, is far more important.love,KateTo: MSersLife Sent: Sat, July 2, 2011 8:30:47 AMSubject: RE: your plans for the weekend?
