what happens if u take too little cortef?

Ive read off and on stuff about taking too little amount of cortef.

What will happen?? Will you get even worse symptoms? or will it

basically not do anything to you, until you get to the right dose for

you?

also, how do you know what the right dose is? just temps?

My doc suggested, 5mg in the morning, and then 2.5 mg in the early

afternoon? does this sound normal to start?

also, how do you ramp up with hc? I dont want to go to quickly and have

a thyroid dump?

We have a ramp up schedule in the files section of this site look for

How to treat adernals. If you ramp up to fast you will risk a thyroid

dump. Not every one has them, but that is why the slow ramp up. Satying

on too low a dose will nto heal your adrenals and vcan be very

uncomfortable with things such as fitigue and not sleep ing well. AND

not being able to tolerate thyroid.

How will I know when I've hit my optimal dose??

Is 5mg in the morning, and 2.5 in the afternoon good to start with
