I struggle with the chlorella thing, too. Occasionally, I'm still

taking a green drink (and they inevitably have some chlorella),

because it's extremely energizing for me and I suspect goes a long

way toward helping maintain better pH levels. Giant green salads

work, too, but I can't always eat them.

She DOESN'T use Andy's protocol if she is telling you to take

chlorella. Chlorella is clearly not part of Andy's protocol. It is

just going to make you sicker.

> Do you consider this a 'large amount'?

The thing about the large amount is just that the more you take the

sicker you will get. There is a lot of false information circulating

about chlorella, some people get fooled by it, and the point is if

someone wants to test it on themselves they won't make themselves

quite so sick if they take a small amount (although we have had

reports from people who got extremely sick with small amounts).

I have taken it hesistantly

Hope you don't mind if I holler because Andy isn't here reading

everyday. Don't take the chlorella.

Chlorella does not chelate anything and will not " settle things " .

If you want to relieve mercury symptoms, try taking DMSA in low,

frequent doses for 3 or more days. This will reduce the amount of

mercury floating around.

Chlorella makes lots of people worse. It is high sulfur, it can

be contaminated with mercury, and there are so many better things

you can take to address symptoms. If the cal/mag helped with

tremors before, keep taking it.

Just get started with DMSA. If you want to reduce mercury levels,

you need to use a chelator. Chlorella isn't one no matter what

they tell you.

That's what I thought too! It is not 100% his protocol. I was told by

her it was my responsibilty what I wanted to do about taking the

Chlorella, since she follows it even tho' Andy does not recommend it.

This is very frustrating because I started seeing her since she is a

DAN doctor, familiar with mercury toxicity issues and knows of SCD

that I follow for my Crohn's, and she asked me to get Andy's book!

Do you mean take DMSA for 3 or more days just for once and then stop

till I am ready to chelate about a month later?

It is not just the tremors, it is also the occasional uneasy, slight

panic feeling (which seems to have subsided considerably after I

started to take homeopathic 'Hepar Sulph' and 'Gelsimium' on the

advice of my homeopathic doc whom I speak with on occasion for

digestive issues every couple of months - he did not know much about

the amalgam issues but suggested Hepar Sulph as an antidote to mercury

for a few days (4) and to then stop and see how I feel. His suggestion

was that the immune system needs support to fight things, so my panic

feelings need to be worked on (that is why Gelsimium as well as Bach

FLowers Rescue Remedy were also suggested).

First off, my memory is that your amalgams are all out now, right?

If so, it is really up to you. You can start using DMSA 4 days after

removal. It may be helpful, but it is a personal decision when to

get started. Actually, from what you say below, I think you may want

to get some adrenal support first.

I have not taken Hepar Sulph. I did take Gelsimium (sp?) which

was given for adrenal issues (I think). I felt it helped short-term,

but within a couple of months, my adrenals went downhill and I was in

for a bad time after that for 6 months.

Are you using anything for adrenal support? Have you had any testing?

If you haven't had testing yet, you can try things from the HFS like

adrenal cortex extract, or herbs for adrenals.

For me, my adrenals were on the edge before removal. After removal

and especially after I started chelating, the adrenal issues worsened.

I encourage you to make sure your adrenals are supported.
