Guest guest
I have had some sleep problems (I think adrenal-related, as the problems go way when I treat my adrenals). I would get all wakey-wakey around 3 and be unable to get back to sleep. Thankfully, I would not feel stressed or anxious -- just wide wide wide awake, with no sense of sleepiness. I have a CD player in my bedroom, and I keep a CD in it called SeaPeace -- sort-of-new-agey harp music by Georgia Kelley. I put that on repeat-the-whole-disk, very low volume, so I can just hear it (over the fan I have blowing on me {eye roll}) and that lulls me back to sleep. Because it's so soft I can stay asleep with it playing all night (I use it also if I can't get to sleep when I go to bed). Since I've switched to T3-only, I'm sleeping better. I still awaken around 5, (sometimes with with slightly sore " kidneys, " so I take my Isocort then; I keep it by the bed), but then I can go back to sleep. (My schedule is up till 1-ish a.m., and sleep till 9. But if you have a CD player, you might try some very soft music with no loud parts or fast beats, on repeat-all-night. Elenor p.s., Oh, and studies have shown that using an electronic screen (computer or TV) for an hour or so before you go to bed also disturbs many people's sleep. They suggest reading (a book, not on screen!) for an hour before bed -- or something not involving the lit screen. I assume it has something to do with the pituitary being designed for a time before electricity!
