Guest guest
Bill ... I take both as well and as far as I know, no problems. MamaSher, age 70. IPF 3-06, OR. NasturtiumsDon't fret about tomorrow, God is already there! Re: New and questions about vitamins Happy New Year, everybody. A couple of weeks ago I decided to start taking a multi-vitamin and Omega-3 fish oil capsules. Nasty smelling things! My breathing seems to have gotten a bit worse, but it could easily be the cold weather and high humidity. Has anybody had any experience with either of those behaving badly, and/or negating the effects of any meds they were already taking? Thanks. Bill IPF 9/08 New year...new news. Guest guest
Bill, All I know (from my Doc) if you are eating a good diet you do not need vitamins unless it's a specific. We do not need to try to increase our immune systems because it is already in high gear causing scaring in our lungs. But you should be talking with your Dr about vitamins. The prednisone and other drugs some need decrease the immune system, thats why we must be careful around anyone sick. I know some think they need to boost the immune system. Again discuss this with your Doc. Love & Prayers, PeggyFlorida, IPF/UIP 2004"I believe that friends are quiet angels who lift us to our feet, when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly." Guest guest
Hi Bill, I would definitely discuss the fact that you're having more difficulty breathing with your doctor. That is always cause for concern though it may well be cold or humidity as you suspect. I always have much much more sob when it's cold. I take a multivitamin without any difficulty at all. It's hard to imagine that fish oil would harm your breathing but again we are all different and I would be unwilling to guess at it. Give your doctor a call just to be on the safe side! Hope you're feeling better soon! Beth in North Carolina Moderator Fibrotic NSIP 06/06 Dermatomyositis 11/08 HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
