It should not take that many, " One Riot, One Ranger " . Each Ranger should

be able to handle 100 miles or more.

Seems Governor is sending the Texas Ranges (not the baseball team)

to

secure the Texas border. I know these guys are tough, but if my memory

is

correct the legislature only allows about 130 commissioned Texas Rangers

at

any give time. That is about 1 ranger every 10 miles of Texas/Mexico if

they send all 130. Sounds like a PR thing to me.

I would rather see our servicemen along the border rather than overseas. We're

going to pay for it one way or the other. Let's keep them here-on our ground! It

bothers me that we cannot do something about Mexico-because they won't let

us(?)- but we go overseas and deal with them!

POLITICS IS POLITICS!

This is a NO BRAINER-but- what is more prevalent here- Terrorism or Illegal

Immigration?  I'm sure someone will say the latter does feed  the threat in one

way or the other.

Just my opinion

When I was the District Attorney for Fannin County 30 years ago I learned

that about the only thing the Rangers were good for was counting the bumps on

their ostrich boots. They seemed to spend a lot of time doing that, if

that's what one does when his feet are propped up on his desk.
