My 7 year old daughter panics when she seems a person in a costume (Monkey Joe,

Disney, characters at the zoo, Santa) It is extreme panic and fear and she

wants to " go home " and cannot relax when she sees one. She screams and does not

want to be held.

Any ideas why she feels this way and what I can do? We explain that a

person is in the costume but it doesn't help. Thanks for any ideas. It seems

the image overwhelms her to terror. Khat
