Guest guest
Hi Kristy, Thank you for the kind words, but I still feel I am learning and I am not very good with the technical areas or dialog. I have a lot of friends on the pudendal.info site – and I consider them VERY knowledgeable (especially Violet and ). is the woman who is having her PNE surgery done this coming week. She developed her PNE when delivering her son almost three years ago. And Violet is a woman who is close in age to myself and who had very similar PN symptoms. She gives me a lot of hope as after almost three years she is 98% well. She had the same TIR surgery as I did, and did not see even the slightest hint of recovery for 3-4 months, plus she did not stop taking narcotics for nine months. So I have a long way to go, but I will make it. And my doctor said the worse symptoms take the longest recovery. I definitely will pray for your Mother, Kristy. My mother lived with me for 27 years before she died at age 90. It is definitely hard when you have a parent who lives with you and you are so intimately involved with their care, plus you have your own health problems that you are dealing with at the same time. And I am so glad that you are happy with the doctors at the Mayo Clinic. Please let us know how she is doing and how her tests come out. nne From: VulvarDisorders [mailto:VulvarDisorders ] On Behalf Of Kristy Sokoloski Sent: Saturday, September 22, 2007 4:39 AM To: VulvarDisorders Subject: [sPAM] Re: Kristy/ what/who to believe?-nne nne, Thanks. I wish your friends well with their recovery. Have you thought of starting a group for those that might be dealing with PNE and Pudenal Neuralgia? The reason I ask is because I thought about what you said about that it's not as rare as we might have previously thought. I think you would be a great group leader. On the thing Dr. Conway told me, I had never heard that either and I may ask my Pain Management doctor about that when I see her next month because I thought that in a lot of cases of neuropathy (other than Diabetic Neuropathy which my one uncle has) you always felt some kind of pain. I've had the zapping kind of pain you mentioned but not my pudenal nerve but in my genitofemoral nerve. Also, would you please keep my mom in your thoughts? She got her tests done yesterday and we will get the results on Mon and they are going to run another PET Scan because it's time. The stress of all this has had some affect on my fibro but not my vulvodynia yet thank goodness. I'm trying to make sure I make it to every doctor's appt she goes to for all this so that we can both learn. And the visits to Mayo Clinic ville have been much better than the doctors we started out with. Will keep everyone posted on how things go.
