Guest guest
I did not stop iron before testing but to my experience - ferritin does not differ stopping iron or not.Hmm. Shouldy my pulse be faster if i have low potassium? Or would Hypo balance it out and make my pulse slower anyway?I thought low potassium was dangerous only if it went down below 3.0?Bananas have like 500 mg potassium a banana. I could eat 4-6 daily? But then again I would be thinking: what if it was a lab error? What og i have an acid/alkaline balance problem and my potassium can swing as it wants?Or low potassium could be my main reason for irregular heartbeat! Which goes back with 2 years or so. Which again could be a symptom of bad adrenal function.Pulse now: 64Sendt fra min iPhoneDen 30. apr. 2010 kl. 23.06 skrev Nick Foot : >potassium 3.7 (3.6 -5.0) - what the...??? do I eat more bananas or what? Help? Not good?? Low, low enough to cause some of your heart issues possibly. It will take more than bananas to raise that! >magnesium 0.81 (0.71 - 0.94) - I am on 200 to 400 mg Magnesium Citrate daily. >TSH 0.22 (0.2 - 4.5) Too night for a full replacement dose of natural or T3. between 0.01 and 0,05 would be a better place to be. >FT3 5.5 (3.5 - 6.5) - I took my last T3 exactly 15 hours before this. Not too bad is it? Still not where you need to be on T3 or Natural,. FT3 needs to be top of range or a little higher to feel best >FT4 6.8 (11 - 23) - getting higher due to more and more ERFA Thyroid in me. On it's way up >Ferritin 63 (20 - 300) - Well it's still doing ok, but I need more iron intake. 125 daily? More would be good. Did you stop supplementing 5 days before testing????? IF you have the type 2 hypo you tell us you have been diagnosed with you need those labs over range for FT3 to stand any chance of getting enough into the cells. That potassium is a concern, have you asked Dr H about it??? Nick

Guest guest
, Nick and Val have probably already suggested this in the past, but have you gone to a cardiologist to rule out any underlying heart issues that T3 could be exacerbating? I remember that you have had heart issues throughout your journey with T3 and I have had some as well. I have issues with skpped beats, palpitations, and increased heart rate throughout my own journey. I met with my doc Thursday and he said that it could just be what is going to happen for me OR it could be underlying cardiovascular issue that the T3 is exacerbating and he wants me to go get checked by a cardiologist just to be on the safe side. I will feel better doing this and ruling out that as a possibliity. If you haven't done the same, it could give you some piece of mind. Just a thought.
