Health Insurance , Yes up to age 19 actually they CAN NOT refuse a child coverage. The rs are not writing child only policies, so a parent, or with Golden Rule, an over the age of 19 sibling needs to go on the policy. They can rate the child anything, there is no limit. Kid Care will take any child up to 19 that has not had coverage for 30 days. They have a sliding scale for premium. What I was focusing on is for those of us that have kids over 19 that aren't covered with Medicaid or on a parents' group plan (where they can now stay until 26). There are those of us adults too that have pre-existing and do not have Medicaid or a group plan available. If they haven't had coverage for 6 months they could get the plan I wrote about, and now it is comparable with what they would pay if they could get coverage. Last year it was almost twice the price.
