Guest guest
Hi all, I have a few questions. First some background:My 8 year old son has just been diagnosed with unilateral mild hearing loss in his right ear. We took him through the public school system at 3 years of age for speech, but they didn't check his hearing at that time.He took speech for 3 years. Last year(age 7) he was still having trouble with reading, it was getting worse not better, so I had his hearing checked. I've been told that it's not bad enough to need attention. The place I've taken him to now is helping, but I would like to know what to expect and ask them about. They were going to give him the FM system(I think thats what it's called) but I homeschool so they said no need for that.My questions are do I need a CT scan run? What will a language evaluation benefit? Where do I go from here? Thanks for any help, Toni(TN) Home school Mom to Christy 10; 8;Luke 7; 4months
