Guest guest
Thanks to everyone for all the help and advice you gave me. We did have one informal meeting last week, and will have another one in May, (with the special ed director of the district there) in May. I wanted to wait for a couple of weeks so that A's 1st grade teacher will be there as well, in addition to the other staff that will be responsible for her FM system. I want EVERYONE there to know how that system works, and what to do when it doesn't. (We're also pushing for a backup to be left at the school as well and for the response time for the itinerant to be much, much quicker.) I know that some of the school staff is upset that we're having the " big boss " there, but we really feel that it's necessary given all the problems and concerns we've had this year. The one thing that I keep hearing over and over again from the school is that this " is a learning experience for everyone " . What they can't seem to understand is that this " learning experience " is being done at my daughter's expense. Really, really upsets me. Oh, BTW - want to know what was wrong with her system this last time? DEAD batteries!!! Noone at the school checked for that. God, this is what makes me so crazy... Anyway, thanks again, I really appreciate it. And Kay, thanks for the link. I really need to get back into the website again and start reading. Take care, Sue
