SUBJECT: Free Standing Emergency Medical Care Facilities

The Department of State Health Services will hold a stakeholder meeting

on Wednesday, July 15, 2009 from 8:30 am - 4:30 pm to discuss the

preliminary draft licensing rules for Free Standing Emergency Medical

Care Facilities (Title 25 Texas Administrative Code, Chapter 131). The

meeting will be held at the following location:

UT Austin, JJ Pickle Research Campus (PRC Commons Center)

10100 Burnet Road

Bldg. 137, room 1.102 (Big Tex)

Austin, Texas 78753

A copy of the draft rules is expected to be available on Thursday, July

9, 2009 on the Department's website at:

http://www.dshs.state.tx.us/hfp/hottopics.shtm and at:

http://www.dshs.state.tx.us/hfp/rules.shtm.

The department invites you to review the preliminary draft of Chapter

131 rules prior to the meeting and to attend the meeting to provide

comments and suggestions. Please bring your own copy of the rules draft.

Extra copies will NOT be available at the meeting. Since the meeting

will not be taped, the Department would appreciate an accompanying copy

of your comments in writing whenever possible, to facilitate the

Department's review and consideration of stakeholder input. Although

advance submission of written comments is encouraged, comments may also

be provided at or in lieu of attending the meeting, or at any other time

during the rules drafting process to beth.albro-pratt@....
