Is it possible to start without those or is it best to have them first? Is it

safe to eat yogurt, DCCC and Cheese cake if I have UC in the intro? I'm

currently on PRED and ASACOL and seriously can't wait to start the intro, I'm

just a little confused on how to go about it. Should I just eat chicken soup or

is adding the broiled beef patty and fish okay, too? Also, when I'm done with

the intro, I can go straight to the recipes excluding some stuff that you can

add after a few weeks and months.

went into remission. Started Pred again (40 taper) In Jan 2009 and haven't been

able to be fully in remission again. Tried Canansa and no go for that med. Also

took cortenema for awhile and now back on 20 mg pred (taper) and 6 asacol. I

hope being on the pred and asacol don't affect me when I start the diet.

yes.

I hate a lot of hard boiled eggs the first week. I was fine

with DCCC in the intro, but you will have to figure that

out for yourself. I had the cheesecake, too, with less

honey, which is in the instructions.

No, go to pecanbread.com stages, which will help you figure out

how and when to add what:

1/2 way down.

use as a guide to adding in new things, not something you have

to follow precisely.

things that were on the list.

go slow on the yogurt, I overdid it, because the instructions for

starting slow weren't clear to me, and it caused me to react badly, so

start with like a teaspoon or tablespoon and increase slowly from there

for the first two weeks or so.

Well, you are more likely to if you have UC than other things. Big

help, right.

OTOH, that may not be the case if you are also on LDN. I can't swear

to that,

though - just hypothesizing for the instant.

One way to add things would be to follow this list, 1/2 way down:

http://www.pecanbread.com/new/scdfoods1.html

You don't have to do it to the letter - think of it as a guide, you may

add things out of order, but this will help you figure it out.
