Guest guest
Give it time, girl! Every time I trimmed that babyfine fluff covering my head, it seemed to get a little thicker. It never grows in as quickly as it went! If you look in the photo album under 'andrea's album,' you'll see almost 9 months after chemo and a couple of haircuts later. I would have been happy had it grown in blue! Keep that pretty chin up,
Guest guest
I didn't loose all my hair, it just thinned so can't really answer your question. But I do have 2 spots where mine isn't as thick as it was before chemo. I ended my last of 4 adriamycin/cytoxin treatment in september and have gotten 2 of four taxol treatments. My hair prior to the chemo was auburn and down to my waist. I wasn't upset when it fell out. As a matter of fact before my second surgery (lymphoadenectomy) & start of chemo I cut my hair extremly short so it would be easier to deal with when it did fall out. My hair started to grow back about a month and half ago. I knew it would be different in texture and color. It's growing in snow white now and that's just fine with me! It's hair! *The problem is...it's like baby fuzz! It's about 3/4 of an inch long in certain places and it's so baby fine if it stays this way my scalp with will be visable no matter how long it gets! I have two areas that have NO hair at all! I look like I have a receeding hairline. I can live with the snow white hair but I'm so worried that it's going to stay baby fine and I'll have these two bald areas on the sides. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ No virus found in this incoming message. Guest guest
Baby fuzz is quite common when hair first comes in. It took months before I got beyond looking like I had a 5 o'clock shadow. I also heard taxol can slow growth down. I finished my chemo at the end of January, and just recently got my first trim. My hair texture changed to a nice wave. I've heard hair can revert to its original texture and color 18 months after treatment. Haven't gotten that far yet :-) take care,
