RE: Dear Val and new moderators

I've been sick since 1994. It wasn't that obvious back then. It's been a

progressive downward slide with several deep dips and a wall at the end of

this past year. I've only recently discovered information about adrenal

fatigue and REAL info. about thyroid matters, so I'm still sorting out

exactly what is wrong with me. Currently I'm trying to get my HC to a dose

where my temps will be stable.

Right now, I don't think I could hold down a regular job. Of course, what I

can make myself do when I feel I 'have' to is more than I should do. Right

now, I am the primary caregiver for my 90 yo mother, I homeschool my 2

children, help with a co-op once per week, am the troop leader for a brownie

and junior girl scout troop, and have a local homeschool support group that

I'm 'in charge of'. Of course, I have some help with my mom and we haven't

been doing school the way we normally do it, I'm letting other parents help

more with my troop, and have wonderful friends who help with the support

group. And since I hit the wall at the end of the year, I decided not to

organize the 16 or so field trips I normally organize, dropped out of the

church choir, don't even try to get as much done around the house, and so

on. I haven't volunteered for anything extra with girl scouts this year

beyone my troop and am letting my older girls have a laid back " fun " year

this year. I do things one day at a time and do exactly what must be done

and no more. There is so much I am behind on it isn't funny. I don't know if

I will EVER catch up! I'm learning that not everything I want to do can be

done and the world doesn't end if I don't get to it. I'm trying to rest more

and take care of myself more. Maybe I'll eventually get it right....or maybe

not...but I'll keep trying!
