Guest guest
Emma, Even though he may tailor the treatment to the needs of his patients most of his practice is about surgical procedures. At least he did one thing a doctor I saw at Mayo Clinic ville did when I refused the PT recommendation she made in 2003 and I didn't do the other thing either: fill the prescription for the Valium. Did you read the article that came out in the NY Times about vulvodynia? The main focus in that article was about surgical treatment being the primary for vulvodynia which is why some got upset about the issue of PT not being mentioned in the article at the same time surgery was mentioned but we hope a follow-up article occurs talking about other types of treatment such as the PT for pelvic floor issues in those that it applies. Guest guest
I wonder if he is qualified to do surgery? And what kind of surgery? A vestibulectomy? Again, there are not a lot of doctors that are qualified to do them. The only way you can find out is to talk to former patients, but because of the new privacy laws the doctor has to contact the patient and have them call you to give you any reference, which is work for the doctor or his staff, and they do not want to do it. Did anyone look up Dr. Goldstein or any of their own doctors on the new “rate your doctor” lists on the internet? These sites are fascinating. I have found every time I went to put in a negative comment on my doctor, there were many more before me. These sites cannot be traced so there is no way anyone knows who left the comments. And the same goes for the good comments – I have left a lot of those also, and so have others, so I usually know I am right on track on how I perceive the doctor. After going through 13 doctors in eight months, I really learned a lot. nne From: VulvarDisorders [mailto:VulvarDisorders ] On Behalf Of mfwaskow Sent: Wednesday, March 05, 2008 4:46 PM To: VulvarDisorders Subject: Re: Dr Goldstein He did not bring up surgery for me either.
