Guest guest
I called Jewish National and spoke to the " lung " nurse. She said it would be helpful if I came there and got an opinion from them about my fibrosis. So I decided to do the intro paper work and some of the questions she asked me were none that had never been asked before. I told her I had had JRA (Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis) when a kid and she was so happy to hear that! She said if my fibrosis was caused by arthritis my diagnoses is not so bleak because there are treatments. Anyway, she also told me I ws doing everything right. And to never use a cart in a store unless I am havign a terrible day. the object is to stay moble and actie as long as possible. She also asked me about my birds. She said at Jewish they try hard to avoid a VATS and it isn't always necessary but if it is they would tell me they want me to have one but it would be done at home. I guess they are just going to diagnose and suggest possible treatment. They will run necessary tests but don't want to repeat tests so I will bring all my stuff with me. Is that what always happens? I liked the nurse. She was knowledgeable and quite helpful. She was very very friendly. Joyce R Prescott AZ IPF
