Guest guest
Dates, like any dried fruit, are problematic if you are dealing with yeast/candida. In other words, something to severely limit or avoid depending on how much yeast you're battling and your related symptoms. As to whether dates can trigger D. or C., it all depends on the individual. My experience, having C. as one of my chronic symptoms, is that anything dense (like a dried fruit) slows down motility, so too many dates like any dried fruit will increase my C. It makes sense to me that dates can also trigger D. for the same reason. Just depends on your particular combination of disorders. I think moderation applies to dates, as it does with any food. And if you're dealing with yeast/candida, then you need to stay away from dates during your drastic elimination phase, but can eat them occasionally otherwise. As long as they don't have added illegals. Kim M.
