Guest guest
Actually RSSkids.com is pretty tight with regard to security. The actual forum database is stored on another secure site. That way even if the site is " hacked " the data isn't there! E-Mail addresses if you notice aren't even available. You can directly email via the site anyone who chooses to make their e-mail available but even then you can't see the e-mail address unless the actual person gives it to you via a reply. That ensures a pretty good degree of privacy. The only way to e-mail someone is through the site unless you have their actual address. For posts that you want to respond privately to the person there is the PM (Private Message) function. It allows you to leave a private message for that person so that the next time they visit the site they can read it and respond in private as well. Every post made is stamped with the senders IP address and ID. You can only post if you register. If there are problems the forum allows for some pretty good blocking and banning of people who start hitting the forum with SPAM or start getting abusive or think the forum is to spew out garbage to suit their own agenda. It's not gonna happen on RSSkids.com. That's what the moderators are for. If they can't handle the problem then we can choose to block the person in extreme cases. The goal is to create a nice clean environment that is free of extraneous clutter, where privacy is protected, and people feel comfortable sharing and helping each other. Plain and simple. http://www.rsskids.com Rob Warren (Jon's dad!) webmaster@...
