Guest guest
MSer's I had tried to reply at Yahoo but I really need spell check with all my typo's it wouldn't have made any sense:( I'm still slow with my typing so it doesn't really slow my typing skills. I still use but two fingers smile* My sense of direction is about as bad as my MS these days. I got lost in the 1.2 miles it's away from my house. It's just a straight line almost for Me. Up Route US 1 and go left of course I went right so I went in with my disabled parking walked but 25 feet to the door to double check myself. Yup, you guessed it I landed flat 5 feet from the door!!! It was this huge company and I had a few people running to see if I was OK...I was but I was so embarrassed so I asked them how to get to "Maximum Fitness" just turn around and turn left instead of right...Duh!!! I was 3o minutes late and they were so sweet. Cane, not really any help, PT said maybe later when and if my gait gets any better. So it's walker for Me with "slides" instead of wheels. I about S*** with to cost of those damn things and being durable medical supplies I would have paid not getting repaid. Now, I know why the previous owners left it for Me. She's in a wheelchair so she couldn't use it, instead of about $100.00 dollars I had to buy the instead so bought the slides/plates for just $23.00 dollars!! I was so happy to have saved some money, PT sessions are $40.00 each time, I would have gladly spent the money if necessary. But, it's nice to know I can hold-off and buy a walker with a seat and hand-brakes if needed down the line. Now, at 11:35 PM I can now go and get something to eat. That, took Me over an hour to type that...grrr!! Hugs, Terri Sharon wrote: Terri Since you will be starting PT you should ask them to recommend a cane or other equipment for you--whatever you need. Perhaps a quad cane would be the thing for you. To keep from falling (and preventing broken bones!!) you may need a walker. Perhaps one with the seat? I'm glad you are going for PT.
