Guest guest
If your average temperatures are not too high, and/or you have no other hyper symptoms, I'm not sure I'd see the reason to decrease Cynomel. See Val's posts on too-low TSH: http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/message/39920 http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/message/40610 Ferritin tests can come back false-high, due to inflammation or other reasons. It may be worthwhile to have an iron panel test done, to get a more complete picture of your iron status. At 12 weeks my own RT3 was 35, which I understand was good. > > Sorry I am just reposting b/c my orginal got missed yesterday. > > I have been taking 50 mcg of cynomel for around 12 weeks now. My temps are stable w/ an occasional fast pulse. I discontinued my iron intake to retest my ferritin but realize at the moment according to lab values I don't need it. > > I would appreciate any thoughts on my labs and if I should back down on my cynomel dose at this point and if these values look relatively normal. Also where do you want to see rt3 at this point or should i be more concerned about the ratio? > > thanks : ) > > > > CURRENT RESULTS > 6/14/10 > Reverse T3 216 pg/mL range 90-350 > Ferritin, Serum 218 High range 13-150 > T4,Free(Direct) 0.79 Low range 0.82-1.77 > Triiodothyronine,Free 5.7 High range 2.0-4.4 > Thyroxine (T4) 4.3 Low range 4.5-12.0 > TSH <0.006 Low range 0.450-4.500 > RT3 ratio = 26.38 > > PAST RESULTS > 3/14/10 > Reverse T3 309 range 90-350 > Ferritin, Serum 48 range 10-322 > T4,Free(Direct) 1.23 range 0.82-1.77 > Triiodothyronine,Free,Serum 2.8 range 2.0-4.4 01 > Thyroxine (T4) 8.3 range 4.5-12.0 01 > TSH 3.610 range 0.450-4.500 > RT3 ratio =9.06 >
