Guest guest
I was wondering about the 'pain' associated with ms symptoms. My initial episode had no pain, only numbness and tingling from torso down to the toes, where it began. I had waited until about 3 months to go in, figuring my mild obesity had bumped me into a diabetic. So that began a journey that led me to the neurologist. I also had the buzzing when I lowered my head which lasted nearly a year, while numbness cleared up in less than 6 mo of avonex. that was in 2003. When the fall of 2010 brought a nearly 3 mo episode of pain issues that were constant from a 6 up to an 8 on a scale of 10 I didn't think ms...until the ms hug came which was unmistakable, and the painful skin on my back and ribs that I use to get from the avonex shots that I had stopped a year and a half before. My curiosity is with people like Montel and one of the Osmond's sons who had a fast moving ms. They have both told of the incredible pain they were having, pain that was pretty constant. How is it one can function with that kind of pain? Was it similar to what I had going on? I just want to ask them to be more descriptive, not so broad about it...give me something to latch onto~ that is one of the sucky characteristics of ms...the symptoms are very individual and one shall not find commonality with another if [it] has anything to do with it. so poo-poo on the MonSter as you guys call it. sigh, off to bed to see about getting my mind elsewhere. hugs to you all, looks to be a beautiful couple of days in the midwest states.
