Well, I'm going through the same thing. On week 6 of no Armour/T4, only Cytomel

and I'm miserable... all of the hypo symptoms.. weight gain, fatigue almost like

sleeping sickness, always hungry, dry skin and hair, foggy thinking, and

depressed as all get-out. I don't care if I eat everything in sight, or sleep

all day.. I just feel like crap.

I've tried upping cytomel to 137.5, but my temps dropped, so I'm going back down

tomorrow to 125.

What to do but wait? I'd love to hear something helpful...

Thanks,

sporadic crying spells? For years I've had some mild " blues " type depression,

but this is ridiculous. After the doctor took me off of my Naturethroid 3 weeks

ago, it's steadily getting worse. A friend was going to send me some of HER

Cytomel to tide me over until mine came in so I could start taking it, but it's

been 5 mailing days, and still nothing! I'm about to lose it here! And still

waiting for the doctor to get in and look at the latest lab tests. Ugh. I'm just

ready to get started. Anyone got any words of wisdom or good advice? Comfort

even? :)

Joan I really can't say if your crying spells are related to thyroid or not but it does sound hormonal to me;-( Are you perimenopausal or menopausal age? I used to get spells like that too way before I was diagnosed with thyroid issues but I found that rubbing a little natural progesterone cream on my skin did help me calm down, I still use it to this day. You've also been off NT for 3 weeks so it would make sense you're feeling pretty bad right now given you don't have anything for your thyroid. When I started T3 I could only take being off NT for 3 days before I felt a big difference and fatigue and mild depression started back again. Sweetie hang in there, it may take a while to get your T3 depending on where you ordered it from. Is there a possibility you might get another prescription refill of NT until you receive it? Your doc can't just let you hang like that. I'm so sorry you're feeling bad. Not knowing where your at female hormone wise all I know to suggest is a bit of progesterone, but I have no idea what your progesterone and estrogen levels are doing, it could make things worse..I'm sorry I don't have better answers for you. Feel free to email me if you just need to vent...believe me I know how you feel.<<Posted by: "Joan" krupickajoan@... krupickajoanThu Jun 3, 2010 3:41 pm (PDT)Is it just me, or does this rt3 thing (hypo thing) cause ridiculous and sporadic crying spells?
