Thanks for the report. I did not know where you lived in relationship to

the fire. Glad it is so far away and hope they can soon get it under

control.

Hi Pat,

Just after I shut down my computer last night they announced that 32,000

people had just been ordered to evacuate the Colorado Springs fire.

They evacuated the Air Force Academy, first time ever.

That fire (Waldo Canyon Fire) is amazing to say the least. It jumped over

the edge of a canyon spurred on by 65 MPH winds and engulfed the community

of Mountain Shadows.

They have not yet said how many homes were lost because the smoke was so

thick they really could ot get an accurate picture. Man, this is grim

indeed.

It is still about 40 miles due South of where we live.

This has been a truly horrid experience.

There are still some 32,000 people who can not go back home. I think the

house count is near 600 with all of the fires.

Hopefully the weather will cooperate and allow the fire fighters to do their

jobs.
