Guest guest
My 3 1/2 year old son has been recently diagnosed with high functioning autism. Our Psychologist has recommended both OT (preferably sensory integration) and Speech (for pragmatic language) but I am struggling to find any therapists with time available. I would prefer that both providers work together in a center to make scheduling easier, but that is not imperative. I would really appreciate if anyone has any suggestions of therapists that they have had a good experience with in my area. I do not mind traveling if need be... Thank you in advance. Guest guest
Although Speech and OT are important interventions for our kids, they are just supplemental. Our kids need intensive behavioral therapy such as ABA, DIR, etc. We have had much success using ABA (verbal behavior). Some families swear by DIR Floor time model. Whichever model you choose, it is important to be consistent and follow through at home as well. Re: Looking for OT and Speech Therapy in Weston...any recommendations? Guest guest
Hello We love our speech and OT at the Dan Marino ceneter. They both work together and it's awesome it's all at one place. > > > My 3 1/2 year old son has been recently diagnosed with high functioning autism.
