Guest guest
Unfortunately, Autism has not been studied for that long. Right now, the work that is being done by DAN Dr.'s and the families they treat will serve as evidence based studies. Eventually, these therapies (that have been used successfully for many years) will be considered mainstream and insurance companies will cover them. DAN Dr.'s are regular doctors who go to med school, do their 3 years of internship, and practice medicine just like the rest of them. The difference is, they have chosen to specialize in the field of Autism and they go to many of the DAN conferences to study the newest breakthroughs in Autism research hence the term DAN Dr. I personally wouldn't take my kid to a doctor that did not meet these requirements. Guest guest
Who knows with insurance companies, there is no rhyme or reason to their decisions. I know sometimes it can decades before integrative protocols are deemed science-based. Re: Dr Udell's fees? Is he a pediatrician or a Dan?
