Guest guest
- An easy vision and answer is do you remmeber when they where pushing those little machines on t.v that you place little sticky pads on your muscles, and when turned on it would stimulate the muscles, they selling the fact, it would build muscle without having to exercise? I remember my son coming home from high school asking if he could use mine as his teacher talked about it in class.LOL He did use it to as he is tall 63 and was very very thin, still is somewhat, but since he now is at the gym everyday workint out every day! and has built muscle that way. Well a tens unit is what you place on muscle areas, and adjust to various levels of pulsing, tingle, or intermitten, contractions, it has electrodes that come from the sticky's and plug into the unit, YOU can NOT turn it wide open or it will Jerk you aroung unconrollable, I had done that by accident couple times. Anyway works with contracting muscles, with electrical pulse idea to fatigue the muscle to stop spasms, stop nerve signals sending pain out. Giving person release. As usual for me I had to wear it almost 24/7 and you are not suppose to use it but I believe 20mins at the most a time. I have not used mine in over 10yrs, because after using because I needed to keep it on all day it would make my muscles sore after the day was over. Hope you got the idea of it. Again, this also is not for everyone. If anyone has neuropathy and it is used in these areas can cause harm. PT guides with whether would be usefull. The machine they use at PT if I am talking about same as posted is really different from a TENS unit, it runs with BiO waves treats in a different way, I just found that out last summer when they attempted to use on me, and I asked. Could not use on me. I have no feeling on left side now for some reason, did not know until they tried to use that machine and I could not feel as she turned it up. It sends out little electrical pulses that can trick your pain sensors into overriding the pain signals. You are able to adjust to a level that you are comfortable.
