Wow..... The City of Galveston did this to the dispatchers who stayed during

Hurricane Ike????? Is this accurate??????

All I can say is that if this is all true, it is unconscienable. Of COURSE they

should be paid! And it sounds like the lack of food and water issues, etc.

means these men and women were treated more like slaves than employees helping

during a major disaster. At this point, my opinion is that the city owes them a

lot more than money at this point, starting with an apology. Unbelievable.
