Why the Midnight Spike in Cortisol?

Anyone know what in means when the noon and afternoon cortisol is

flatlining and then spikes at midnight?!

Morning 13 (13-24 norm)

Noon 1 (5-10 norm)

Afternoon <1 (3-8 norm)

Midnight 7 (1-4 norm)

Cortisol burden = 22

DHEA = 3
