" Next step would be to get a 4x per day saliva test for cortisol and a

thyroid panel of blood tests including free T3 and free T4. "

in june 2006, i had extensive endrocrine panel done by NeuroScience Inc,

neuroendocrine IV profile. it included saliva 4 times/day for cortisol

(ng/ml) ref range: 2-4am <1.0

7.00am 4.5 high ref 7am 7.0-10

11.15am 7.8 okay ref noon 3.0-6.0

5.15pm 1.7 low ref 5pm 2.0-4.0

10.10om 1.3 low ref 10pm <1.5

fyi, my " normal " sleep cycle is go to bed about 10pm but not fall sleep til

12am or after. wake several times thru night and early morn. finally able to

get up about noon.

the saliva test also included dhea, estradiol, estrone, progesterone,

testosterone, and dihydrotestosterone. let me know if reporting any of those

results would be helpful too.

an old test from november 2002 for T3 free, serum

3.0 pg/ml okay ref 2.3-4.2 pg/ml

at the moment, i can't find any test for t4

any help interpreting is appreciated.

gratefully,

kendra

The 7 am result of 4.5 is below the ref range and therefore low (right?)

This one slightly high

Very typical of people with weak adrenals.

I'm sure you are aware of the various things that people have been

doing to support adrenals after following the group for some time.

Have you tried any adrenal support?

Sure, as long as you realize that I am no expert. If you report them

put Andy's name in the subject line and maybe he will comment if he

has time.

I remember from past emails that Andy says optimal free T3 is in the

top 1/4 of the reference range. Yours is low. Thyroid hormone will

help (and that might have been indicated on your hair test, I'll have

to go back and look).

The adrenals are to be treated first before the thyroid.

Is there any chance that your practitioner would be open to

prescribing physiological doses of cortisol and thyroid hormone such

as Armour thyroid?
