Guest guest
My calcium and magnesium are not high. Well, I took 1000mg of potassium g all at once and ...well, nothing. I think people sometimes are spending way too much time and money(I certainly did) worrying about getting potassium up when it's already in a healthy range for the heart to beat correctly. Those that are struggling and don't know what is causing what, I think it should be easy to figure out. If you're deficient in K, taking some powder, should make symptoms improve rather quickly(especially if already in range). If not, it's not potassium causing the problem. Potassium doesn't build, it's in and out of the body everyday. Subject: Re: Are we obsessing about potassium? To: RT3_T3 Date: Friday, April 30, 2010, 9:16 PM Hi , It is very common to have low sodium/ potassium in congruence with high calcium and magnesium when the adrenals are exhausted. I am the very same way. I take Body Bio liquid potassium by patricia kane. i hav emisplaced the naem of the website, but there is a site where a guy claims to take 1/16 of sea salt everytime you drink water and it cures many ailments..it has certainly helped me when i am consistant with it. always follow your intuition if you feel like its an issue, it probley is. Misty Are we obsessing about potassium? I have never been able to get my potassium up. I've tried 5 or 6 different Rx ones and have taken up to 150 meq's. My potassium hovers around 3.5-3.6. Sodium is 140. I have a good doctor who has a good understanding of hormones and where levels need to be to be optimal. He doesn't believe that a potassium level in range would have an affect on my heart. He says a person wouldn't notice it until levels are lower than 3.0. My heart pounding/racing is always there and the EKG/ECHO just came back normal. I know everyone here says potassium needs to be high in range but I haven't met one doctor who thinks an in range potassium level would cause any heart issues. I am so confused, why can't I get my levels up? Florinef/salt never helped either. People think I am nuts obsessing about potassium. I have a bottle of potassium gluconate and I just took 1 tsp which is around 500mg. If low K was causing my heart issues, wouldn't taking potassium powder have some affec t right away since it gets into the system faster than the Rx slow release stuff? Guest guest
In 's book he is suggesting people with AF take sea salt and avoid potasium. He recommends kelp as an optional source of sea salt. However kelp has iodine and most people with Hashi should avoid it. If you have an RT3 issue, I think the experts(val and Nick) here would also say to avoid Iodine. Please correct me if I am wrong. i am not sure what they think about potassium. > > > Hi , > > It is very common to have low sodium/ potassium in congruence with high calcium and magnesium when the adrenals are exhausted. > I am the very same way.
