Guest guest
HEY, yesterday while sitting on the couch watching NASCAR, I took off my tubing, had oximeter on finger, I am on #5 oxy 24/7. My nose has been beaten up for 10 months, so I turned the cannula around so the prongs are pointing UP, not down, put it back on my face & ears, then pulled the prongs down to place them between the top lip and the entrance to the nose. My oximeter read 98/99, never had it that high before. Never usually got higher than 95/96. So to turn your cannula upwards, it is such a relief when you are sitting or watching tv or computer work. It really has given my NOSE a nice break. I put the cannula on right tho when showering, have to or the water will get in the prongs. Can't let that happen. Just thought this would help a lot of us. It is working for me, I am sitting here right now with the prongs facing upwards between my upper lip and nose and the oxygen is getting in just fine. TRY IT! YOU MIGHT LIKE IT!!! I LOVE YOU THIS DAY MARY LOU - RICHMOND VA IPF - '
