Guest guest
oh,,,I know it is. this change ( if it happens) is a promotion and I just cant turn down the money. its a big salary increase but I know its going to be difficult. Ive done occasional midnight shifts in the past but never more than 3 days in a row and I felt horrible doing them. I could never sleep deeply during the day and would often wake up with a headache and feel like a zombie all night. I'll just have to take it day by day and hope for the best if it happens. thanks for replying > > those changing shifts are the WORST thing for your adrenals. Guest guest
wow,,,,those rotating shifts are even tougher than just straight mids as your body cant figure out which hours to adjust to. Ive done a few of them in the past and theyre very tough. thanks for the tips > > I go back and forth from 12 hour nights to 12 hour day shifts all the > time. I hate it but have to make a living. If you go to a stable night shift, and keep clost to that on your days off, you should be fine after an adjustment period. It is people trying to go back to a 'normal' daylight schedule on days off that keeps the body constantly off base. Try to find a schedule that will allow you to do what you want or need to do on days off, without totally screwing up the " body clock " you have established during the work week. sol
