This rumor hit the list server several weeks ago, it is only a rumor.

The Department of State Health Services is not requiring renewals to take the

NR exam.

THE DREADED NATINAL REGISTRY

Please forgive me if this is repititious, but is Texas going to mandate that

EVERYONE, including those who recertify, become nationally registered? If my

little " bump " remembers correctly, the answer is " NO. " I was also told that we

would have to take the written and skills test. Say it isn't so. Otherwise, I'm

gonna take up driving a van for a local nursing home, and throw out the paper in

the morning! I may even take up walking dogs for a living!
