I've attached my newest painting. For now, I am going to say it is finished;

but, I'm going to use some cutouts to see if adding additional life forms may

help or hurt it. As far as I'm concerned, there is plenty of life in the

painting. It's just not all visible and you would have to maybe do some scuba

diving, or wait for the tide to go out to see it.

I went to see the nurse practitioner yesterday. It was a follow up for lab work

I had earlier in the month. She wants me to start back on the levothyroxin

because my thyroid is in a hypo-active stage. I have Graves' Disease which is

an autoimmune hyperactive thyroid disease. But, Graves' can go in remission and

go even to an hypoactive stage. The blood that I had drawn early in March was

for my thyroid levels. The endocrinologist is the one who is monitoring my

thyroid. Even though the nurse practitioner ordered the levothyroxin, I'm a bit

reluctant to start taking it again until I talk with the endocrinologist.

I was on levotyroxin a few years ago. I never took more than 50 mcg a day. The

doctor who originally diagnosed me with hypothyroidism, started me on 25 mcg,

then increased it to 50. At one point, based on labs, she had wanted to

increase it to 100 mcg. But, every time I had an increase, I would experience

some nausea. The nurse told me that I could go up to 75 mcg instead of the 100.

After 3 days, I was so weak and nauseated, I thought I was going to die. The

nurse told me to drop back down to the 50 mcg and he would let the doctor know.

So, now, the nurse practitioner wants me to start out with 50 mcg. Knowing my

history with some medications, I just don't think it's a good idea. I'm okay

with starting with 25 mcg; but, I'm wondering if it is even necessary.
