DID YOU KNOW?

Did you know that in addition to our groups for adults, teens, kids, and parents, we also have a support group for grandparents?

GPALS (Grandparents Assisting and Lending Support) is facilitated by Dr. Alessandri and meets monthly at UM. If you are an interested grandparent, please join us for these meetings. The next one is Tuesday, September 11th at 6:30pm (see below for more details).

Broward Teen Time

UM-NSU CARD is offering Broward teens with Asperger's Syndrome the opportunity to interact with other teens once a month through social activities. Themes include game night, movie night, chess night, and other fun things to do. This group is free, but registration is required.

and Lending Support

This is the first meeting of the school year of our support group for grandparents. It is facilitated by Dr. Alessandri, the director of UM-NSU CARD. If you are an interested grandparent, please join us. Future GPALS meetings will be on the second Tuesday of every month.

Over 21 Club: Cooking Night

(Make Your Own Pizza)

The Over 21 Club provides opportunities for adults with autism to engage in fun social activities in the community. In order to participate, an adult must be over 21 years old and accompanied by a parent, caregiver, or other individual to help ensure the adult's safety.

Miami Marlins: Autism Awareness

and Charity Event

Baseball Buddies: Presented by

North Miami Beach Little League

This program pairs experienced NMBLL players with youth who have special needs or haven't had the confidence to participate in organized baseball in the past. We will be focusing on skills, drills, and teaching the basics of baseball. We also have informal game play to give players the thrill of a team sport.
