It took exactly 12 weeks for my RT3 to clear, once on T3 only. I am on

125mcg for the last 1.5 almost 2 years and feel better thyroid-wise than

I have felt in my life. I have never had a bad reation ot T3 only but

tried many combos of T3 and Armour (old armour) before tryign this and

never felt good.

Hi Kate,

I joined Val's group a little over a year ago. I had been to numerous Dr.'s including several Endo.'s, a cardiologist, a rheumatologist and an orthopaedic because of thyroid and adrenal symptoms, heart palpitation, panic attacks and terrible joint and bone pain. I could never find anyone that could even tell me I was tryuly ill. All of them just told me I was fine but I knew I wasnt' fine!! I had been on T4 alone for a couple of years and then several combinations of T3/T4 including armour, then a SRT3 and finally after meeting Val went to T3(Cytomel) only. It took approx. 10-12 weeks for the RT3 to clear and I have not felt this good in a long time. It also seems that each day I wake I tend to feel better and better. I think depending on how long and how bad you were inititally will determine how long it will take to clear all of the receptors and begin repairing the

organs and other areas that had been stressed or damaged by the RT3. I felt so bad and felt that I would never find the answers. It's difficult to find a Dr. out there that really "gets it" but with Val's help and the many people that are members you will get better. It is a miracle and the Dr.'s just have no clue. Follow Val and Nick and Margery's advice and you will find with time that you will be slowly healing.

Take Care!!

Cindy

I want to hear people's personal experiences as to how they feel and how long it took for them to feel better once on T3 and off T4, how do you break up your dose of Cytomel, how much Cytomel are you taking, or are you taking SR T3? What works for you, in other words?I have panhypopituitarism so have had to replace 7 or 8 hormones every day for years (full thyroid, adrenal, growth hormone, ovarian). Was on thyroid meds containing T4 for years; that bit only went to total hell recently when I got severe hypo symptoms for months, whilst on Levoxyl/Cytomel combination (100 mcg/5 mcg respectively). My rT3 tested @ 300 at the end of April; for several weeks I have been taking Cytomel only (now @ 25 mcg). I think T4 meds are quite responsible for my NEVER feeling well on all my endocrine replacements (brain fog, fatigue), although I have been working on getting them all "balanced" for the full five years since my Dx.Or maybe there is a

place within this site that members have already related their stories for reading, and someone can show me where? Thanks!Kate
