Guest guest
You are so right Chelle – in fact not only is pushing hard on the pelvic floor, it is hard on the pudendal nerve if you already have that problem, and if you don’t, it can cause pudendal neuropathy. It is listed as one of the causes of pudendal neuropathy – but that is from years of being constipated. nne From: VulvarDisorders [mailto:VulvarDisorders ] On Behalf Of Chelle Sent: Wednesday, March 05, 2008 3:45 PM To: VulvarDisorders Subject: Re: How is PFD diagnosed? - Carolyn Carolyn52192@... wrote: >>>>>>>>>How is PFD diagnosed? Carolyn, it's diagnosed based upon individual symptoms. There can be two different kinds of PFD. Some women truly do have trouble with their pelvic floor muscles being too loose....while others (like several of us) have muscles that are too tight. With both kinds, though, the pelvic floor muscles are weak! If the meds you listed, like Elavil, etc....cause constipation, it's important to make sure you don't stay constipated, because it's hard on the Pelvic floor muscles when you have to PUSH really hard. Make sense? ~Chelle
