Christi Academy Open House this Saturday

Hi Everyone,

Christi Academy, a private ESE school that takes Mckay, will be hosting an open

house for prospective parents tomorrow Saturday from 9-1. The location is 3495

N. Hiatus Rd, Sunrise, 33351. Christi welcomes students with autism, learning

disabilities, and other " different learners. " It offers low ratio classes,

certified ESE teachers for the autism cluster, taekwondo, art, music, PE,

Spanish, theater, dance, yoga, after school clubs and sports, life skills class,

frequent field trips, and a nurturing environment.

> I have a child entering 6th grade. He has been in the cluster at Norcrest and

has an assignment to Crystal Lake Middle. I thought perhaps we would have him in

a private school as he was awarded 13,000 through mckay but everywhere I go,

they say they cannot accomodate him. Now, BCS says that I can't send him to the

school that I prefer which is closer to my home which is Deerfield beach middle.

We live in lighthouse point.

> Does anyone have any suggestions?? I also work in Boca and thought about

trying to get him into a school near my work, Any suggestions wuld be

appreciated.
