I know nothing about tests. And you're probably already doing this, but I'll pass along that Megson told me some dramatic stories of improvements with AIDS patients when they took cod liver oil -- their viral loads dropped way way down without the use of meds. Do you lean towards getting bacterial infections, viral infections, or both? > > What blood tests indicate inflammation? Doesn't C-reactive protein measure this? Guest guest
Have you checked for H. pylori as a cause for your ulcerative colitis? This is a very common and overlooked cause of that and easily treatable. Mastic gum is helpful for digestive ails including this. Immunity to what? Antibodies testing maybe, but most immunity testing is not all that reliable. Inflammation where? It's hard to just test randomly for things without having a specific thing in mind that you are looking for. Immune boosting supplements are usually not a waste if you know you have poor immune function. EpiCor is a good one. We also use colostrum, lots of vitamins and Immuno Aid in our house. Vitamin C, Zinc, and rotations of echinacea are helpful. With chelation you cannot adjust the timing and dosing in relation to any potential inflammation in your gut. The dosing must be fairly consistent. You can however do rounds such as once a month, so as not to overstress your gut. Have you begun probiotics, and taken care of gut yeast? Gut yeast will cause inflammation as will allergies like eating dairy. As will infections with things like H. Pylori. > > > > Dear friends, > > What blood tests can I use to follow my immunity (or lack of)? Low > WBC would be one indicator. Are there other tests I could use?
