Guest guest
Hi, I went to a new doc for the severe abdominal pains I've been having. We have an ultrasound scheduled to look for cysts or fibroids. And then she wants to see if the Prometrium I will begin taking cyclically (my P was low) helps at all. She also suggested down the road doing another laparoscopy to check for endometriosis. She said they have a treatment for that called DeproLupron, which is an injection that induces menopause in all its glory. I said I was not interested in that! Besides the side effects and who knows what long-term effects (I do want to have more children later), I can't have sex with my husband except when I'm ovulating because of vestibultis. So I need to still ovulate. If we do the lap, she also wants to do a cystoscopy at the same time to look for interstitial cystitis! Holy cow, what else is wrong with my body? I have slight urinary frequency--nothing I would've complained about really--and she said she's finding more and more cases of it in people who present with "strange" symptoms. And pelvic pain can be a symptom, too. So there it is. I know some of you have had experiences with these diseases--what are your thoughts or comments? Thanks, Becky Fussy? Opinionated?
