Guest guest
I am from a high risk family = Irish ackground - lots of autoimmune diseases, including thyroid. I am so sick, I thought I would give it a six month try. My practioner (integrative medicine) told me she has helped a number of people " health " their thyroid....I thought since I am so sick, that I had nothing to lose by trying. I had already started the GF diet prior to the saliva test, so I did not go ahead with the rest of the celiac panel. I did also read that antigliadin ABs may underlie some of the autoimmune diseases prominent in my family. So, worth a try I think. I don't hold out much hope, however, but cutting back on my carbs this way may help with the weight situation. :-) > > I'm not saying to not go gluten free, lots of people swear by it. Guest guest
The more drs one goes to, including endos, the more one sees that they disagree and operate under assumptions the same way I do. My assumptin is - based on reading literature, etc - that my adrenal function is to blame for the intolerance. Since endos discount " adreanl fatigue " or any mid-range adrenal dysfunction, I am not surprised that my endo chose the hyper as the reason for the intolerance...does not explain my exptreme dizziness, nor the postural hypotention she observed at my office visit..... I will make an infomred decision when the results are back late next week. > > > Funny you about your warning....my endo theorizes now that my acth > > stim test was " normal " that mayvbe I was hyper.
