Guest guest
Hi I have been on the diet for just over a year now and recently thought that maybe I could further improve things. I read a couple of other books and decided to try some oregano oil followed by some different probiotics. Apparently this is a great natural antifungal, antibacterial, antiviral, antiparasitic. I took it for a week or so and didn't notice any adverse affects. Supposedly it gets rid of all the bad bacteria and parasites in your guts but also gets rid of the good guys so you have to follow up with probiotics. I next tried some acidophilus and within a couple of days had horrible d and really painful stabbing stomach cramps. I carried on taking the acidophilus for a week or so thinking that this was die-off symptoms and I could ride it out but in the end realised this was a reaction to the acidophilus and so stopped taking it. A couple of weeks down the line, the stomach cramps have gone and the bowel frequency is better but bms and completely loose and urgent. I am worried now that my guts are empty of good and bad guys and things are not going to get better. As I said before I had been on the diet for a year, had my ups and downs was still on a very basic diet but was having reasonably formed bms and there was very rarely any blood. Has anyone experienced this before or able to give me any advice? I guess what I want to know is can I get back to where I was on the SCD or do I need to add something else in to help. I wish I had never strayed now and would really appreciate any advice you could give me. Thanks, Mike
