Glutamate+ Glycine = Glutathione?

I just read the following at the Wikepedia web site for Glutathione:

" Glutathione is not an essential nutrient since it can be synthesized

from the amino acids L-cysteine, L-glutamate and glycine. "

So, if I am taking a Glycine pill and L-Glutamine pill (same as

L-glutamate?), does that get converted to Glutathione - which I should

be avoiding right now?

Sorry, I am a bit confused and ignorant!
