Guest guest
I did stop eating dairy since in the UK there's a whole school of thought that links dairy with cancer. And I went on a raw food low protein diet, but this might not be possible for you.I've heard of people who've cured their cancer with the raw diet. Pretty tall order though! I'll be praying for you though, and we'll all be here to congratulate you when you beat this! Guest guest
Dear Gitte, Like the others in the group, I am extremely sorry to hear this, but as the experts have suggested, I am sure you will start with immediate measures as adviced by the group. I have got tremendous support from the group in year 2008, when I was weeping all alone, the support offered to me was an oceanful of love and all the medical advice, it takes a long time to heal, but finally it does, pls have the faith, and I will be praying for you and your recovery. Sandhya LC, Adrenal insufficiency, uterine fibroid (small) Pentasa, homeopathy and naturopathy I've just been diagnosed with breast cancer. And worst kind. I will need surgery, kemo, radiation and some nasty hormone suppresant that will put me through menopause. And that's probably just the beginning. I'm still in kind of a shock, but I'll have to think rationally in order to get through this on top of also having an active Crohn and being on SCD (about PB stage 2).I could really use some good advice. Has anybody some specific experiences with any of this that might help me?Gitte,<hugs> I was diagnosed with endometrial cancer in 2008, and had surgery in April. Fortunately, my lymph nodes were negative, so I have not had to have chemo or radiation. And so far, my labs have been negative.I can tell you that eating SCD is one of the best things you can do for your body. Both my surgeons (oncologist and plastic surgeon) have stated, over and over, that they are amazed at how quickly and completely my incision has healed, and how I have had no infection, which is also unusual in an incision this size. I had antibiotics in the hospital (IV) and then had a course of antibiotics starting about four days after I got out of the hospital which ran ten days. They have stated repeated that in my type of surgery (a total abdominal hysterectomy, accompanied by a panniculectomy) it is most unusual not to have tissue breakdown at or around the incision, with accompanying opening of the incision, requiring additional wound care. Thanks to SCD, the supplements I chose after consulting with my surgeon, my acupuncturist, and the good condition I was in with my water therapy, I have had none of these problems. In fact, the plastic surgeon, at my last visit, at which he discharged me, had FOUR interns in the room to look at me and my incision because I healed the way a person was supposed to, NOT the way patients usually do. You'd better believe I made sure those interns knew about SCD! (Although the plastic surgeon admitted that HE would be unable to give up his sugar and grains....)In addition, I highly recommend Jon Kabat-Zinn's Full Catastrophe Living to help you get a handle on the emotional upheaval this is going to cause. I spent quite a bit of time alternately depressed and angry. Kabat-Zinn's book really, really helped me.<HUGS> — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund
