Guest guest
Dear Gitte, I went through breast cancer treatment back in 2003, about 2 and 1/2 yrs after being diagnosed with Crohn's, and after having been on the diet @ 2 yrs. The chemo did put me into menopause. I remember the terrible shock of getting the news, and the fear - I also had a very aggressive type - but I'm in remission and side effect free 6 years later and was able to do it all with the SCD. I'd be very happy to correspond with you directly if you'd like. It's a difficult and life changing experience, but the vast majority of people with breast cancer can be successfully treated today, thanks to all the money and research that's been going into it - so learn all that you can, use doctors who you trust and can talk to, and make informed choices. I also used acupuncture to help get rid of the toxicity from the chemo treatments, and I think that really helped as well. Do accept offers of help from friends and family - those relationships will be more important to you. Have faith, and let me know how I can help! Ellen M. CD 9 yrs, SCD 7 yrs, no meds
Guest guest
Thank you all for your support. It's very important to me to keep up the SCD during all these cancer treatments. I will do my best - and probably get back to you with questions and problems. BTW: I can't get LDN in Denmark, where I live :-( Marilyn: Thanks for sharing your story. I followed your struggle at the time, but didn't know I would be the next in line. I hope I get through it as well as you did in the end. Gay: Thanks for telling me your story - and that you came through it the way you did. You should be proud! Ellen: Thanks for your offer about corresponding directly. I would really like that. Your story sounds similar. I will get back to you.
