Guest guest
Good afternoon Ladies, how are ya'll doing? I went to see my OBGYN yesterday and I am highly frustrated, angry and depressed all in one. I was under the assumption that my doc was going to give me the diagnosis that I have VVS, and start me on a treatment plan. Instead, he gave me a questionnaire for Interstitial Cystitis thinking maybe I have that because I have to urinate up to 20 times a day. My gut is telling me I have VVS, does VVS have symptoms of frequent urination or is that strictly an IC symptom? I told my doc that I only have contact pain, that being by intercourse, manual stimulation and examination. He basically told me this chronic condition is uncommon and the treatments are unsuccessful, which made me furious!!! I don't need or want his negativity what so ever, I need a doctor who is going to be optimistic. He gave me a referral to see a pelvic pain clinic, which I hope will be able to give me a diagnosis. I am SERIOUSLY considering getting a new doctor because I feel as if he's not doing his job, and that I know more about VVS than he does. What should I do ladies?
