Guest guest
HELP! I'm clearing out cupboards and hubby is coming behind me questioning each item I've tossed. Some spices mixes were okay except for containing soybean oil. I tossed them... they're part of his steak marinade. Augh~ I've been able to point to the illegal list, show him that soybean oil is not ok and managed to get the item in the " out " basket. I'm having trouble with the " ny's Garlic Spread Seasoning. " It has: Granulated Garlic - ok, right? Parmesan Cheese (Part skim milk, salt, cheese culture, enzymes, micro crystalline cellulose used for anti-caking) - Bad because of the anti-caking agent? Salt - Okay L-Glutamic Acid - Bad because I don't know what this is and don't see it on the list! It has Glu in the name.. making a nooblet like me nervous. Spices - Good/bad? I don't know. I decided that 2 maybe no's plus an " I don't know " equaled an absolutely not. Parsley - Good Silicon Dioxide (anti-caking agent) - Bad because it's an anti-caking agent and those scare me. As you can see, I don't have any concrete, rational, point-to-it proof that I can throw this in the " out " basket. Just a ton of warning flags that went off in my brain. Besides the fact that I can combine my own parsley and parmesan and KNOW it's ok. Can someone walk me through how to search this out better? I can win this wrestling match if I have better moves! OT, my range decided to die on me so my diet may start a few days later than this weekend depending on how long a new range (that I get to pick out tomorrow) takes to arrive. If things happen in 3's.. cuisinart attack, range death.. what's next? Rhonda 45, UC/IBS Son, 16, CD
