Susie,

First, I think that your husband needs a second opinion. Any doctor

that tells you that by the time he able to get a transplant it will

be to late is feeding you a line of BS. There is absolutely no way

he knows this! He can't predict the outcome of the PSC. I think is

wonderful that your brother in law is willing to be a live donor.

Personally, with out knowing all the circumstances, I would wait if

he is feeling well. I have had two transplants and was very sick

both times. My recovery went well both times. There are risks with

every surgery and obviously the better you are feeling, the better

the chances. But there is also risk to his brother with the

surgery. I don't know if this helps.
